Examining the Interconnection of Food Safety, Public Health, Investment and Food Trade
The Nigeria Food Safety and Investment Forum is an initiative of UNIDO aimed at the promotion of inclusive and sustainable industrialization by identifying, attracting, and mobilizing investments and appropriate technologies especially for SMEs in Nigeria and in the WA Sub-region.

The Nigeria Food Safety and Investment Forum will take place within the context of the UNIDO-EU-FGN food safety capacity building. In cooperation with ITPO in Nigeria, the forum will focus on promotion of inclusive and sustainable industrialization by identifying, attracting, and mobilizing investments and appropriate technologies especially for SMEs in Nigeria and in the WA Sub-region.



The Forum will address the following thematic areas:

  1. Global governance of food regulatory systems and showcasing models and best practices from all over the world.

  2. The need for industry engagement in food safety capacity building.

  3. Identification of new possibilities for investment and capacity building in food safety and regulatory systems using recent developments.

  4. The latest advances in selected value chain
